Evenemententerrein

Capacity

The site is suitable for large open-air events and festivals. No specific, fixed capacity has been officially published; however, reports on a DJ contest held at this venue did mention an audience of around 3,000. Recent festivals have made use of multiple stages and a spacious festival site.

History

The Zuiderstek has been serving as an events venue for Alblasserdam and the surrounding area for many years. As well as previous events such as Alblaspop, the site has also hosted several editions of the Lammetjeswiel Festival.

Location

An open-air event site in Alblasserdam, with a setting that is more functional than urban. It is a site used for temporary festival and party set-ups, not a permanent club or venue.

Accessibility

The site is situated in Alblasserdam and is best reached by car or local transport. The local council refers to it as Zuiderstek in the context of event accessibility and parking; no specific information regarding public transport stops or shuttle services for this site has been found.

Food and drink

At festivals, bars and catering outlets form part of the layout, but there is no provision for permanent catering facilities on the site outside of events. For a wider choice, the centre of Alblasserdam is practically closer.

Accommodation

There do not appear to be any large hotel complexes right next to the site. For overnight accommodation, the Drechtsteden region is probably a more practical option than the site itself.
