For parties and concerts, this is a medium-sized to large club venue: the club covers approximately 1,000 m² and features three dance floors. The official venue information from the same complex also states that the largest event spaces can accommodate up to 1,500 visitors for standing concerts.

History

Slakthuset is situated on the site of Stockholm’s former abattoir. The site has been redeveloped into an events and club complex with several venues for concerts, parties and other evening events.

Location

The site is situated in Stockholm’s Slakthusområdet, an urban area with a distinct industrial past. To visitors, it feels more like a cluster of events than a separate neighbourhood club.

Accessibility

The official website lists car parks in the immediate vicinity. If you’re planning a late night out, it’s a good idea to bear in mind that the venue is located outside the immediate city centre of Stockholm and to arrange your return journey in advance.

Food and drink

There is a dedicated restaurant and bar area on or immediately adjacent to the venue, with an official food and drink page and a terrace that is used in the summer.

Accommodation

As Slakthuset is in Stockholm but not in the immediate city centre, hotels in the city centre or along the route back are usually the most practical option for visitors staying late.
